Hello and welcome to e health forum.

The condition that your son might be having conditions including uretral obstruction, (posterior urethal valves), which may be associated with Vesicoureteral reflux. Here due to back pressure, there is reflux of urine back to the ureters. ‎

Such back flow of urine over long periods can cause dilated kidneys (Hydronephrosis) and or ‎Dilation of the ureters (hydroureter). ‎

For proper evaluation of the condition, a few tests including a ultrasound or a CT might be helpful. ‎

Goal of treating such conditions is to prevent any permanent kidney damage.

You might consider to consult your pediatrician or a urologist for proper evaluation and specific ‎treatment. ‎
