Hi, welcome to the ehealth forum and I am glad to help you.
You seem concerned whether maple syrup is good for the liver or not. You have also made a mention that you have been diagnosed with Hepatocellular carcinoma.
There has been a study in rats which suggests that pure maple syrup may be good for liver because of its cancer fighting antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
The researchers also found the maple syrup diet caused genes involved in the production of harmful ammonia in the liver to be less active.
But a lot needs to be proved as no such study has been conducted in humans. So at this time there is no concrete evidence in humans to prove that pure maple syrup promotes liver health.
Hope this helps. Take care.
