hey everyone! i've had anxiety for awhile
now but lately my thoughts have been just
outright bizarre. they seem to come out of
nowhere and i've been having weird
thoughts like my families out to get me
and that i somehow turned into the devil.
what? lol. i dont even believe in the
devil and im buddhist anyways. That
thought is about as rational as saying i'm
the tooth fairy. i know these thoughts are
110% coming from my own imagination so
what is wrong with me? They seem to play
over and over like an endless cycle.
1)i dont have history of schizophrenia in
my family
2)i KNOW these thoughts arent true
3)i dont hear voices or hallucinate
thanks for any help, cory dunaway

I can't tell you what you are experiencing
however you may want to see a psychiatrist
to help you sort this out. Schizophrenia
can present with paranoid ideas. . Bipolar
disorder and a major depressive disorder
can also present with paranoid thoughts. A
psychiatrist is best able to help you
figure out what you are experiencing.

If u already know your thoughts are just
imagination thats good, stick too that. (
its like if u never heard about the devil,
u would never thought about it. ) Just
think were those thoughts really come
from. On my experience I always felt that
I try to hide somthing from myself

Also, from reading Zen texts I have
learned that strong discrimination
(between concepts, subject-object, and
dualism in general) is seen as the "net of
the devil". Thus Zen Buddhists do use the
concept of the devil, however it has to do
with a deluded function of the brain, not
a supernatural being. Do you meditate?
