I'm female and I'm disturbed by a memory from my childhood. When I was 6 and my brother was 3 we shared a bed together and I touched his penis. I didn't hurt or distress him but I'm worried it counts as sexual abuse. I know children can be curious about these things - is this uncommon behaviour? Could I be held accountable and prosecuted despite my age at the time on the incident?

You were six. You were curious and it sounds like you were niave'? Did it happen everyday/night? Much of sexual abuse is perpetrated by children to children. It sounds like it has bothered you, so you may have known it was wrong. Does your brother talk about it? Is he okay today? You should talk with a professional counselor about these events. It sounds like you may need to get this off your mind and resolve it. God Bless.
