Q: Is it really over?

I have a great boyfriend who is sweet and handsome, but he tends not to accomplish anything in his life. He tries to get a job but since he's not initiative how could any place know he really needs the job?
He just plays games, go to the park, eat and sleep. Thats his routine for now. I am getting tired of telling him to get off his butt and start doing something meaningful to his life. I work at a resturant right now and making money to support myself but he still gets allowance from his mom... even though he doesnt have to work, he always complains how he doesnt want to spend his money on movies or costly dinners whenever we go out. I am getting alittle annoyed of him but on the other hand i love him so much.

I really don't know what to do.

pfftt..that would annoy me...when I date someone i date to look for the man i'm gonna marry..and if that guy wants to sit around on his butt while i go out and bust mine..HUH UH hunny that aint gonna work! I like being independant and having my own job but I also wanna know that I'm not gonna be the only one supporting the family when we have one..that just sounds like laziness to me and thats not ok...my boyfriend has a GREAT work ethic..he's been at his job for a little over a year, started out at $8.50 and is now getting $15 an hour..hes worked his way up and works really hard..sometimes i wish he didn't work as much as he did! But im glad he's independent like that and not getting handouts from his parents..somehow he manages to afford an apartment a car and ME of course Very Happy haha..jk, but...yea...if I were you I would talk to him about this..issue...bc that really would drive me crazy
