ive had sex four times this month..after the first time (july 2) i took the plan b pill. i then got my period about 5 days before i normally do. i had sex again on the second day of my period (jul 16). about aweek laterr (july 23, period was over) i had sex and took the plan b pill again. that week (july 25) i got my period again. july 30 it was still my period but i had sex one more time. each time i had sex my partner pulled out, he just insisted on getting the pill.. and normally my period is pretty regular, getting it around the 20th every month. but since i took plan b twice this month which im assuming is why i got my period twice this month, should i expect my period in august ? will it be later than normal? also, just out of curiosity, is it actually possible to ovulate while on your period ?
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The 'periods' that you had after having the emergency contraceptive could be the withdrawal bleeding (as effect of high hormonal doses contained in the pill). These can disrupt your normal period and hormonal pattern. Wait and watch for your periods which can be delayed. Avoid further unprotected intercourse. Avoid repeated use of the emergency contraception as it can be harmful to your health. Look out for development of any new symptoms if you suspect chances of pregnancy. Visit your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation and assistance. If pregnancy gets ruled out, and if you intend to remain sexually active, consider visiting your gynecologist to get started on suitable regular birth control measures to be protected (after your periods). Be regular with birth control use as instructed. Avoid having unprotected sexual contact and repeated use of emergency contraceptive pills.
