I'm a 21-year-old virgin female. My boyfriend and I have attempted to have sex a couple of times, but we were unable to. Although I have never had sex before, my hymen was torn long time ago after a mountain biking incident.

Anyway, the reason we're unable to have sex is because my boyfriend can't insert his penis. It really hurts me even only when the head of his penis was pushing. I was sufficiently stimulated and my vaginal muscles, I believe, were quite relaxed. It is at the entrance of the vagina that I feel the pain. It is mostly at the perineum. We've tried a few times already and he has been really understanding, but I'm beginning to wonder if it is normal. Or shall I go and have it checked out at the doctor?
