symptoms, chronic leg stiffness, gait changed to a slow drag, balance is all off, internal shaking so bad cannot function, it all started with a twitch in right hand(only with not using it)it comes and goes so I didnot worry about it to much. i do have sleep apnea(i use a cpap), dreams are so real I do not know dreams from reality, i do have PTSD from being in Afganistan for over a year in the army. I wake up in the middle of my dreams doing what I was in the dream(standing, talking, etc.) I wake up many nights with wet pillow and sheets(have to change), facial pain(feels like it is muscle tight or frozen, but it comes and goes), What started me worring though is when my voice started changing(yelling for my does, it just want get loud, it feels like it stops at the bottom of my throat) writting has gotten bad(hard enough to sign my name) cannot swollow all of my meds now(I can have one at the bottom of my throat, makes it hard to breath and 5 min later cough and the pill comes back up. Do get choak more than normal. Please talk with other Doc's that might could help if you are not sure. I have been to a few doc's who just say it is in my head. I know what real pain feels like, I am not stupid! So, when I get sent back to the same nero doc, he already has it in his mind before he even sees me and i can not get more symptoms out before he says it is in my mind. By the way I do go to the VA and it is hard to get help. I am at the point where I just have to live with it until something happens where it comes out and knocks them in the head, like the emeregency room after I fall. I have fallen at least 4 times in the last 5 months. Thank you for doing your best I know you will!

Tell them you want an EGD to amke sure why youa re having trouble swallowing..Tell them you want a second opinion..You are a vet and deserve the best treatment..It worries me that you are having such problems swallowing as you could aspirate stuff into your lungs making things worse..
Problem is with the post trauatic stress syndrome you are labled and they are writting everything off as such..Like headache--everything falls udner headache and there is more than one cause..Does that make sense?.. Fight back-tell them you want a MRI of your head to check and make sure what is going on..Were you overseas? Were you in line of any sprays etc that could have been used for foliage or if in Iraq anything to contain fires etc..There is alot of sickness coming back from the wars and the VA has finally gotten a decent handle on things..If you remember something be sure your case manager knows so you can get on the right track..kd
