I am a virgin. I have not had sex. I have, however, been fingered (and bled afterwards) and had oral. My question is, because I have been fingered and use tampons, does this mean my hymen is broken??
When and if my b/f and I have sex, is he going to be able to tell if my hymen is broken? Im worried he wont believe I am a virgin (he is not very trusting sometimes lol)

many women have their hymen broken before any kind of sexual activity, it happens, stuff like horseback riding bike riding and tampon use can break your hymen before you have sex, if he doesn't trust the fact that you arent a virgin then there isn't much you can do...i too was a virgin before my current boyfriend and I got together, I bled the first time as well and many think that bleeding signifies that you were a virgin and thats your "cherry being popped" or whatever..not sure, i've heard many girls say that the first time they had sex there was no bleeding..it has alot to do with how comfortable you are and if you are lubed properly, and if not, then yes its going to be slightly uncomfortable and yes it will bleed...like I said if he doesn't trust you then thats his problem...personally I wouldn't give a guy my virginity if he doesn't trust and believe that I'm a virgin and that it is a big deal to be giving it up to him....

Hi all, I really need your help because i am not well educated about sex, my boyfriend and I were fooling around and he knows that we cannot have sex and that i must remain a virgin till i get married. Anyway we got naked and he got erected, first he stuck his finger inside my vigona and it was really an amazing feeling then he touched the opening of my vagina with the head of his penis. He kept going back and forth i think only the head entered me though i did not feel any pleasure unlike when he fingered me. But he seemed to be enjoying very much. Also i heard the sound of air popping when the head glided inside of me. Am not sure what exactly happened but there was no pain, no blood and no pleasure for me. Does this mean I am still a virgin and that my hymen is still unbroken?

I was afraid of the same thing. I read in a few books where the guy realises his girl is a virgin cos she's too "tight". Is this true?I know hymen can tear due to many reason, but is there another way for guys to find out?

Any guys out there, pls respond

No, totally not true. I was with a guy once who I had kept very separate from my everyday life. The first time we had sex he said OMG your so tight, at least I know you dont have kids. I laughed so hard we had to stop. I have three kids.

Not even a doctor can tell for sure if a woman is a virgin unless the hymen is completely intact. There may be some scaring from little tears or something that indicates penitration but other than that...there is no absolute way to know. The hymen does not indicate virginity unless its totally intact then you can pretty much bet nothing has been inserted. Also, fingering does not equate to losing your virginity. Virginity is lost when the penis penetrates/is inserted into the vagina.

hymen
My doctor thought I wasn't a virgin when I was, and thought I was a virgin when I wasn't. There isn't any real way to tell, unless there is like "trauma" to vaginal tissue, which a boyfriend isn't going to be able to recognise if he's not a doctor. I agree though, that the person you lose your virginity to should not be someone who doesn't even trust you. It's such a special thing, and you can't ever take it back.

My hymen got broken by putting in a tampon incorrectly. I did not bleed the first time I had sex, although it did still hurt...

Unfortunately most women will not know what they are looking at. It is not quite as neat and well organized as is portrayed in books. It also depends on how old you are (before puberty or after puberty).

Your hymen is a useless thing. It serves no purpose after you are born. Before you are born, it seals your insides from the outsides so that your organs can form. Before birth, your mother got a surge of estrogen which caused your hymen to form a hole.

During puberty, you get an estrogen surge, your hymen opens up further, pulls back, folds onto itself, thickens and becomes very elastic.

At that stage it looks like a fleshy ring around (partly or right arouns) the outside edge of your vaginal entrance. It can look like a bunch of tags, or like a material hair scrunchie.

If you are not trained, it can be difficult to see.
