Q: Is bump herpes outbreak ?

So I've had herpes for almost 3 years now I guess, and 2 weeks ago I had sex with my ex who was leaving for afghanistan. Just today I noticed a weird bump, no discolouration or anything, and I know what herpes looks like but I haven't had an outbreak in over a year so maybe I've forgotten. No discolouration, just a risen bump that hurts to touch.
Any ideas? I'm hoping it's not something else.

Genital herpes, usually appears as a group of small blisters (1-3 mm each), that soon turn into open sores.
It is very possible that you have developed a sebaceous cyst.
