I just recently went on the pill and
started to have sex with my boyfriend
without using condoms. Intercourse is
fine, but after he ejaculates inside me I
get a painful burning sensation in my
vagina, which gets worse after I go to the
bathroom (it gradually subsides in about
half an hour to an hour). This has
happened twice. One time, we had
unprotected sex but he ejaculated outside
of me, and I didn't have this problem...so
I feel it's directly semen-related. Any
idea what might be causing this? Could I
be allergic to semen, or maybe I'm just
irritated from the intercourse? Should we
try using lube? I'm trying to talk my
boyfriend into going back to condoms, it
was so much easier! And sex is really not
enjoyable for me now...

Yes, you need lube!
You're probably getting a little raw
during sex and that's why semen and
urination hurts afterward. Did going to
the bathroom hurt when you used condoms? I
had the same problem, it took me a while
to realize condoms have lubricant on them
already and so I needed to use more lube
than usual after I stopped using condoms.
If it still hurts after you apply lube,
then you may want to speak with a doctor.
I hope things get better for you!

I had the same problem when I first
started having intercourse without a
condom. But it would go away after a
little while so I just dealt with it. If
it goes away after an hour then you are
not allergic to it, but sometimes it just
burns. No matter how much lube you use,
there are always gonna be micro tears that
the semen will get into. But the good news
is your body will most likely get used to
it. The first time he came inside me it
burned really really bad. But after that
it started getting less and less and
eventually it stopped hurting at all.
