About two, maybe two and a half weeks ago, I had sex twice in a span of two days. I've been on birth control for the last four months or so, and I have been pretty consistent with taking my pill -- maybe being up to two hours late in taking it, and having missed it once. While having sex, we also used a condom. This week I am expecting my period, and tonight I began spotting.

Now, with all of this in mind, it seems that I shouldn't worry about pregnancy. Still, I'm a little paranoid as I've heard of some scary stories involving young girls getting pregnant while they're on the pill, etc. And I know that implantation spotting is still possible up to the week of your period. I suppose I just want to know if an extremely light period is normal. I'm a little worried, only because my flow isn't quite as heavy as usual.

So: am I at risk for pregnancy?

Extremely eHealthy
The pill is extremely reliable if you take it as directed and are aware of other medicines that can affect its effectiveness. The reasons why it fails for young girls are that they are normally not conscientious enough in taking it.

I think that the chances are very very small, if not impossible, that you got pregnant. If a sperm got past the pill and a condom it is superman (or woman) Smile
