Heavy and long periods are technically
termed "menorrhagia". Possible causes for
menorrhagia include fibroids,
endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease
(PID), uterine polyps or dysfunctional
uterine bleeding (DUB). I'd suggest that
you schedule an appointment with your
gynecologist to seek a diagnosis, as the
long bleeding seems to be affecting your
quality of life and you want answers.
