I'm a 22 year old female around 5'5 and 150lbs. I'm very active and have always had an irregular period. I do not drink a lot of water(mainly juices & sodas) and have a poor eating diet(meats, & carbs, occasional vegetables). I have had a Pap Smear within the year and everything went okay. I usually do not get sick but last year I had to see a doctor for my reoccurring black stool(in which they gave me medication for G.E.R.D;i think it means gastric esophageal reflect disorder).

My period has been absent for 5 month now, and its taking longer than usual despite my irregular period cycle. I did start start school in January(last time i had my period) with a full academic load. There has been stress both inside/ouside school. I have not gained any weight nor has my appetite changed. I'm assuming I'm not pregnant because I would think I would run into some kind of pregnancy symptoms. My sexual interest has also decreased as well. Any answers/input on why my period is taking longer than usual. Again, I normally have irregular periods(in 2-3 month intervals). Is it because of the stress? Or my eating diet? Does the g.e.r.d have any relationship to my absent periods? Why is it taking long?
