Hello!

I am 23 and have been having pretty irregular periods since I was 17. My doctor keeps saying that nothing is wrong and I am fine. I really do not think I am ovulating. My husband and I want a child but I am worried that with my irregular periods (my cycle varies between 29 and 32 days)... I am not creating eggs. Is there anything I can do or take over the counter to help this? I have been off the pill (orthotrycyclin) since August of last year. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Would having an abortion when I was 17 have anything to do with why we can not conceive now?

Another thing is, June and July my period came right on time but this month it is late. Supposed to be here on Aug. 5th. I've taken a couple pregnancy tests hoping that it would be positive but needless to say... it's not.

Have you confirmed that you are having trouble ovulating? You might want to go to an OB-GYN to get a second opinion and request diagnostic tests. The other option is that your husband can request a sperm analysis.
