Irregular periods and ovulation Posted: 07-07-08 09:20am
My periods are very irregular. I always
have it for every two months. Very rarely
i had it within 28 - 35 days. From past
one year i had only 7 period cycles. In my
periods, with the regular blood flow i am
finding some meat coming along with it.
Sometimes yellow fluid also come along
with blood flow.I will have periods for
only 3 days and it stops for the 4th
day.Even after periods i will be having
some white and yellow discharge everyday.
I am getting a fear that i might have
problem in concieving in future because of
this. I have not discussed my problem with
others or consulted any doctor. I am
getting married in few months and i may
plan to concieve. I wanted to know whether
it is normal to have meat pieces flowing
in periods? Is there any problem in my
reproductive system as it has long gap
between periods and has this white and
yellow discharge regularly? Please
suggest me to do something to overcome
this fear. Please suggest me further
course of action to regularise my
periods

Irregular periods usually indicates that
there are no ovulations (egg cell-expel)
and without ovulation conception is
impossible. You should check your
progesterone level in the second half of
the cycle. If there is no progesterone in
the second half of the cycle that means
that you don’t have ovulations. Those
“meat”-pieces in the menstrual blood
are probably parts of the rubbed
endometrium and they don’t indicate
anything important. White-yellow discharge
could indicate the presence of a vaginal
infection so you should check that too.
You may want to consult a gynecologist
about this.
