Q: Irregular periods and birth control medications

My daughter was on the depo shot but her last shot was taken last september,she had a normal period last month on the 17th and this month none but she bled one day on the 9th this month but not all day. Well today she went to the doctor and she has low blood pressure and a bladder infection could she be pregnant? She has a one year old

It is not unusual to have irregular periods after taking birth control medications that contain hormones. Based on the data you reported, it can not be told for sure if your daughter is pregnant without a physical exam and ultrasound.


The low blood pressure and the bladder infection might be unrelated to the irregular periods.
