My menstrual cycle keeps changing every month and I cannot tell when I'll get my next period. It's been a year since this pattern started. I have been trying to get pregnant since 6 mons and am worried that these irregular periods might be a reason for the delay. I am using an OPK to determine the fertile days but still it is taking time and I am beginning to worry about it. Can any one give me some insight as to what I should be doing?

It's not abnormal for it to take a year or more to conceive, so don't worry just yet. The main thing you probably need to do is relax. Stress, diet, too much exercise, along with other factors can change your menstrual cycle and make it irregular.

Also, go online and look up other ways to improve your and your partner's fertility, including not having sex too much (depletes sperm count), wearing boxers, relaxation, etc.

If you are worried, go see your OBGYN for a check-up.

you have to see your doctor to find out if you have to deal with a problem with your period first.
