I'm a 21 years old male. About three months ago i was constipated for a couple of weeks. Ever since then my bowel movements have not been the same. I feel like I'm going to the bathroom way less than i used to. I get constipated every now and then (and constipation was never an issue in the past), my stool is usually flat (not exactly ribbon-like but about half as thick as it used to be), a few bits on the surface of it look drier and darker than the rest and sometimes there's some mucus with it, not a lot but i see it on the toilet paper. I also feel like most of the time i'm evacuating less than what I'm supposed to. Any ideas of what this could be would be greatly appreciated. I intend on seeing a GI in a couple of weeks.

Constipation, mucus in stool, feeling of incomplete bowel movement, could be a case of irritable bowel syndrome.
