Q: Introduction to Rick

Greetings all, I'm Rick and I have been on the eHealth forums since last June. I skip around to various threads to comment and offer help. Back pain is my specialty since I am retired and on disability for degenerative disk disease in my lower back. But I also am interested in relationships, general debate, depression and drug dependency.

I have been married forever and have two grown sons. I was a medic on a med evac helicopter in Vietnam and was wounded, so I am the resident patriot on the boards. My background has given me insight into the fear people feel when they are not sure of their medical condition and I try to let them know that they are not alone.

I consider it a priviledge to be able to help people in need.

Hey Rick!! I got the impression you were a sprightly young lad...probably because of that hot avatar...I would say how I feel about your pic there, but I wouldn't want to make my husband jealous Wink

Dashing? I like that. Especially since my wife thinks I look like a cross between Buffalo Bill and Captain Kangaroo!

Well, my avatar was my picture taken when I was 49 and the minute I hit 50--KA-BOOM--I'm a senior citizen! Haha
