I've looked up forums online and found some info and basically learned that I need to cut back on acids as much as possible. The real problem, besides acid is the pain. I've started to experience pain during intercourse because of it and even when I'm not having sex with my husband. My doctor suggested I undergo a procedure to test if I absolutely have it, but I have to undergo anesthesia and I wonder how long does it take for the procedure to wear off? days or weeks? is it necessary? can i get prescriptions for the pain without the procedure? what are some main things to avoid in my diet for ic? i use to eat very southern food so this is a big change how do i make the diet switch comfortably?
