An internship is a pre-professional work experience that provides students, recent graduates, and those seeking to change careers with the opportunity to gain experience in a particular career field. Internships can supplement academic classes or are a way to try out a new job without making a permanent commitment; a way to gain "real-life" experience, and a way to decide on - or opt out - of a certain vocation. Academic credit is a possibility for eHealth Forum internships. We`ll work with you to gain approval for university credit and identify a faculty sponsor who can help supervise and evaluate your internship experience.
Design
Logo and branding projects to include merchandising and product creation. Web design internships also available using technology such as Flash and video software. Knowledge of HTML required.
Medicine
Gain experience answering medical questions online under the supervision of a practicing General Physician. This internship is ideal for RN students or medical students interested in gaining online clinical experience.
Publishing
Editorial position requiring review of health-related articles for site publication. Position also involves monthly newsletter production to be used for email list delivery. Additional work will focus on reviewing content to rename topic titles for medical relevancy. Excellent writing skills required. Experience in editing a plus.
Internet Marketing
This internship will focus on link building and SEO techniques. Learn best practices of site optimization. A basic understanding of SEO is required, as are excellent writing skills. The position will also involve sales copy and creating targeted client messages.
