The more I read, the more I wonder just what the difference is in internal vs. external hemmorrhoids. I have always assumed that internal are up in the rectum and external might be out in the "lips" area of the rectum. Please advise.

Hi soretail,
Internal hemorrhoids are on the inside of the rectum and external hemorrhoids are on the outside of the rectum.
