Q: Internal Scar tissue

I had my appendix removed in Nov 06 and in Feb 07 i started with a pain in my right side and across my middle! I was admitted to hospital with suspected Gall Bladder problems which it turns out wasnt the case. These pains have been on and off now since Feb 07 and are still occuring. After a laporoscopy, colonoscopy and a CT scan i have now been told that the problem is internal scar tissue from when i had my appendix removed!and that they can remove it but it may cause more scar tissue problems so his advice to me is to take pain killers when a bout of the pains flares up!or he could referr me to have it removed, i do not see the point in this if it will keep reoccuring. My question is is this the only answer and is there any other option to curb or cure this rather than dosing myself with pain killers when it starts or more surgery?

Scar tissue can be very painful and sometimes the best way to approach would be to have surgery to remove old scar tissue.

If you do have surgery again, check to see if there is anything that they can do to minimize scar tissue...
