I am 57 yrs old,and about a month ago, I scheduled a routine colonoscopy, which being tomorrow happens to be my first, by the way. I don't seem to have any classic colorectal disease symptoms, except for occasional change in bowel consistency; but, for the past couple weeks I've been experiencing some short-term cramps in the lower abdomin, just above the pubic area. It usually subsides immediately with bowel movement of passing gas.
Any ideas as to what may be causing this; it has caused some concern because I don't remember experiencing this before. Thank you.
