Intercourse bleeding while on bc Posted: 07-15-08 22:47pm
Over the past 2 1/2 years I have had
problems with bleeding during and after
intercourse. I had a normal pap, tested
for STD's - None. The bleeding started
about the time I started getting Depo
shots. I switched to the pill, but it
continued. So I stopped the pill and over
the past year have been using condoms
only. The only time I bleed now would be
if I am within a day or so of starting my
menstrual cycle. Is there a method of
female birth control that I can take or
get that will not cause me to bleed during
intercourse.

Ya know, I really have to say this. I
almost sounds like your mate is being a
little to permiscuous with you. Ask him to
tone things down just a bit and see if
this stops. Passionate (heavy) intercourse
can do this. Easy does it and see what
happens. I'm not a doctor but, I don't
think this has anything to do with the
type of BC you are using. Depoprovara is
not the best way to go in my opinion
anyway. Glad you got off it. I would talk
to my GYN about this and get some tips.
