Can Adipex and Wellbutrin xl be taken together? What are intractions?

ADIPEX-P (generic name: phentermine hydrochloride) is indicated as a short-term (a few weeks) adjunct in a regimen of weight reduction based on exercise, behavioral modification, and caloric restriction in the management of exogenous obesity for patients with an initial body mass index ≥ 30 kg/m2.








WELLBUTRIN XL (generic name: bupropion hydrochloride) is an antidepressant of the aminoketone class.








No data from independent scientific medical studies can be found about the interaction of phentermine and bupropion. However, before taking both medications, you might want to consult with your family doctor or to your psychiatrist that recommended the bupropionin in the first place. Also, take into consideration any other medications you might be taking and make sure your doctor is aware of these.
