i hope you can help me with this. my african american friend has been having intense itching episodes that have become more and more frequent the last few months. earlier in the year, they occured approximately 2-3 times a month and now they occur daily, often more. there is intense itching of the back and neck and shoulders when stress, hotness, or excitement occurs. there is no rash. the episode is alleviate shortly by him calming down or cooling, but is causing more and more stress in his life. what could this be?
