I am living in NY and paying more than $300 a month, and still have a question what I am paying for if my insurance not covering my prescription which i need, and for every doctors visit I am paying 'copaymet' of $40 and so on.

Does your insurance coverage also include approved prescription medication? If so, then ask your insurance carrier / pharmacist.

With most plans you will have a copayment with each doctor visit and based on your particular plan your copay could be as little as $10 or as much as $50...all depends on the plan in which you have. Don't forget that you may also have a deductible.

Do they have a drug that is covered? Like a generic?

Hummm, think I would ask for a list of drugs in which they would approve.
