Q: Insulin Resistance and Glycogen Stores?

Would anybody know how to build your Glycogen Stores efficiently if you suffer from Insulin Resistance? I know how Insulin Resistance works though am not sure how you can build Glycogen Levels like a normal person if your body isn't absorbing the sugars from your foods as well.

What should I eat and how should I eat. Can anyone recommend any good books on this specific area of 'Building Glycogen Stores'. I am a bodybuilder and do allot of cardio and need a good level of energy all the time. It seems that all the high energy foods which can effectively build Glycogen Stores are our of bounds for those with Insulin Resistance. I also understand the concept of linking protein with high GI carbs as well, though it doesn't really answer the question.

Any help on this, books, whatever, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Chrisco
