Instant relief?

So I was watching some videos about TMJ, and came across a video from a website , they promised instant relief, which attacked the cause, blah blah. But they didn't show any answers, just symptoms, how to buy the products, dvds, etc. So there I was, "oh well, another amazing cure, just give us money, blah blah..". Another dead end. Though, the doc in the video did say something interesting. He talked about these "trigger points", which are points in your body, that if you apply a little pressure you feel a lot of pain. For example, just below your ears there is a trigger point for your jaw area. Just push it a little bit with your index finger and you will feel a little pain, so I thought to myself, what if I push really hard? Cause pain itself is related 100% to the nerves, and what better way to estimulate the nerves by inducing pain to the tense area. I felt a lot of pain when I pushed with my fingers, not relaxation, nothing soft, nothing like a massage, the point of the excercise was to feel pain by pressuring my trigger points, my entire head and jaw were in pain. But once I let go my fingers, the pain was gone. I don't feel any tension, nor pain at all from my jaw, neck, head, etc...
For me it was instant relief, so the point is to find your trigger points, and give them a lot of pressure, the more pain, the better. "No pain, no gain" right?
Just wanted to share this with you guys...
