Inner-thigh Rash [help Please!!!]
Posted: 01-16-06 19:23pm

Hi,
im a 16-year-old male, slightly overweight, and for the past week or two, i've had a serious problem.
I noticed an itch on my inner-left thigh about two weeks ago, and made the mistake of scratching it. Within the next day or two, there was serious inflammation (very red, and slightly bumpy), and didnt stop itching. I put some lotion on it, and that helped with the itching, but sometimes I cant resist the urge to scratch, and whenever I do, it spreads (very quickly, within 6 hours or so) to the area where I scratched!
My thighs often rub together, and I think that's the reason that it has spread (though not as badly) to my right-inner thigh [there are several red spots, not clustered, and less itchy, but very red and very bumpy]
i'm not sexually active, so it did not come from someone else, but im afraid that it might spread to my scrotum and have some lasting effect.
I want this to go away; I want it to go back to normal, so please, help me.

There's been a small change:
i havnt been stratching at it, and the rash on the inner-left-thigh has lessened in redness (seems to be less intense) but still itches like crazy, and is still a noticeable pink.
There's been virtually no change on the inner-right-thigh; still very red, spread-out bumps (each individual bump is a distance away from another one).

Please, all help is appreciated!
