Q: Inguinal Hernia reincidence?

Greetings,

I got fixed an inguinal hernia about one year ago. Right side, fixed with 2 meshes, one in the seminal conduct and the other one in the abs wall.

I was doing fine, until one week ago I lifted a pretty heavy bag. At the moment, I did not feel any kind of pain, however, next day, until now I have got pain, testicle pain, stomach ache, but not inflamation, or bults.

I am really worried about if I actually got a reincidence, or if just one of the stitches, from the mesh are unstitched, or sort of.

Maybe I got another fissure and the mesh is preventing my organs to dont pop put and that's why I dont have a bult?

Thanks in advance.

Alex.

You will have to be evaluated by your physician to assess for possible recurrence of your hernia. The symptoms that you describe could be due to either a recurrence of your hernia, or a strain of the tissues (including scar and sensory nerves) in the area of your hernia repair.
