Inguinal hernia Question

My husband has a Inguinal hernia and is getting it checked out and scheduled for operation this monday. My question is this:

I have noticed that the Inguinal hernia has reduced the size of his erection from when we were 1st together and married. Obviously some of this is due to the size of his Inguinal hernia that is quite large. Will his penis size go back to what it once was? Also we are thinking of having another child, is there ever a complication in regards to that.

Thanks!

His inguinal hernia cannot possibly change the size of his penis (whether erect or flaccid). The only conceivable exception to this fact that I can imagine is that the "completeness" of his erection might be reduced if he has pain associated with his hernia during sexual activity (or even the anticipation of such pain).
