Hello. I was filing down my nails the other day and for no reason, just decided to meticulously gather the nail powder on my desk as I went about my business. Before I was going to dispose of this, a stream of thoughts came into my mind regarding the makeup of this fine white powder. I began to research the material nails are made out of, and found that nails, hair, horns, hooves, claws, etc, are all a product of the strong fibrous protein called "Keratin". I then thought about if being able to recycle this through ingestion would be beneficial to the body? Please let me know if this would be harmful or in fact beneficial to consume. Thanks.
