is this just the flu or something worse?
i live in new zealand where it is approaching winter and 6 days ago i finished work with a headache and very little energy the next morning i had the symptoms of a pretty horrible flu, there was coughing, fever and extreme cold (shivering), cold/hot sweats, headache (at the begining headache was throughout head, now contained to behind my right eye), no appetite, muscle/joint aches and pains, nasal? or synus congestion (still able to breath through nose)
i have vomited various times aswell, but the symptom i am most worried about is a crackling noise from my throat exhaling, this seems to occur when im laying on my right side but not the left, it will also sometimes happen when I am upright. most of my other symptoms have been ok with the use of nuerofen+ (contains iburofen and a small amount of codine) and lemsip hot cold and flu drink(contains some paracetamol). in addition i have been at home all week in warm conditions.
I am an 18 year old male, and would like to know what could be causing this crackling noise in my throat? and if this is just the flu or something worse?
