Q: Inflammation of cavernous tissue
asked by: DoctorQuestion on November 20th, 2008
i have this strange thickening since last October 4. i haven't told this to everyone, even in my parents nor i haven't visited the doctor yet. i am thinking its a cancer but i know that P.Cancer starts at glans down to the shaft. but in my case, the shaft just thickens shockingly w/o any signs and i don't know the reason. i feel something weird in my right shaft. i can't describe the feeling but it is just mild. i don't know if it is an irritation or what.

Sexual Health - Men Answer A4949

According to the major symptom you reported (thickening of the penile shaft), you might be experiencing inflammation of the cavernous tissue that belongs to the penile shaft. The inflammation might be accompanied with pain, swelling, and a red inflamed area. The cause might be due to problems in the shaft itself, but a skin inflammation that progressed in cavernous tissue is more likely.
