Hi,
I(aged 21, Female) am suffering from pain in my trapezius muscle area. It doesnt pain like its a sprain though. It pains like something is ripping apart inside. In the process externally it swells up to a small hunch. And while it remains swollen I experience a burning sensation on the skin in that area. I just cannot touch that skin. Also the region where the cervical vertibrae ends becomes HARD and pains a lot. The pain from the shoulder radiates down to the tip of my fingers through the arm and the entire left arm feels weak. I also experience minute cramps in the neck region.
I visited a doctor and he advised IFT (Physio) for 2 weeks and I had only temporary relief. Due to this pain I stopped using my two-wheeler and that helps a lot. Yet, i dont seem to have completely recovered from this pain. I was taught a few stretch exercises but I am not able to do them regularly. It pains while i stretch my hand above my head. After a lot of suffering I was asked to take an MRI and the results came out saying I have a disc prolapse in 3 out of seven discs in the cervical region(neck). But it also says that there is no evident pressure on the nerves(I shall get back to you with the exact technical terms from the MRI, soon). Following the MRI I again went through a week's IFT. But all in vain. Since then I have been experiencing problems in the shoulder region. And at times it tends to radiate down to the spinal region. The entire neck come spinal region pains in a weird way and at that time I just cannot do any work except lie flat on the ground.
History of health issues: Since childhood I have a weak back. And in 1997 (i was six years old) I met with an accident when I fell on my left side. Since then I have had a weak left side.
Please help me. I am a student and I am unable to sit for long hours studying. I am unable to sit at a stretch for a 3 hour exam. I experience frequent cramps in the neck.
Thank you in advance
regards
