hey i had a preputioplasty on monday afternoon, where 2 incisios were made on the band to relieve my tight forskin.
the surgeon and nurses said it would look "like a dogs dinner" and it certainly does
it is now thursday and my my forskin is still swollen in 2 points with cuts either side of it, also their is alot of redness on the penis. i am unable to see the head yet as when bathing i just let it soak as it is still to swollen and i dont want to interfere with the stitching,
is this sort of swelling normal after a preputioplasty operation and how long does it usually take to calm down? i just want to reasure myself.
cheers

Current medical status: had preputioplasty on monday evening, still have severe swelling redness and bruising
Current medical treatment: tramadol hydrochloride capsules - painkillers diclofenac sodium enteric coated capsules - anti inflamitary paracetamol

It is normal to have inflammation (swelling, redness, and pain) after preputioplasty on the places where incisions were made and stitches were installed. It is not normal if there is also an infection (pus coming out from the incision) which makes the inflammation more severe. If there is no additional infection, the inflammation should calm down in 2 weeks but if there is an infection the inflammation will last as long as the infection lasts.
