Ok, so I have an greatly inflamed itchy clitoris, and it's very disconcerting!! Itchiness is something that I have experienced before, perhaps because it's a sensitive area, for whatever reasons, but it usually doesn't last and goes away without any further problems if it happens. But this instance it was more than that. It was really really really itchy (not all day but since 5:30 maybe), and I was stupid and itching it an extreme amount. I know I must have made the problem worse. It looked normal all day until now, when I realized how much I was itching and then took a look at it.

I'm not sure if there is anything immediately I can do to help the inflammation go down? Also is this something I should be worried about? There is no change in color, or smell. I think I may just have over agitated it by itching it too much (but it was so annoying I couldn't help it until I really thought that about it and that it was probably a bad idea).

I'm really pissed off because I'm supposed to go to my jiu jitsu class @ 7pm, and I might miss it now unless this goes down beforehand. But right now I have a bad feeling it won't... Sad

Scratching your clitoris is never a good thing to do. Maybe an ice pack can help with the swelling. Make sure it is not too cold and do not get ice directly on your most sensitive parts.

Do you know what is causing this? Perhaps a certain panty or a soap or something else you do? Sometimes we can also have a yeast infection in the vulva (normally it is in the vagina).

You should also pull the hood around your clitoris back and wash well underneath with normal clean water. A substance called smegma (oil and dry dead skin cells) can form under it and cause irritation and other problems.

Both Monistat and Vagisil makes anti-itch creams that is safe to use on your genitals.

I hope that you made it to your jui jitsu class!

ive kind of had the same problem. ever since ive been with my recent boyfriend we've had problems after sex. the first time we did have sex i bleeded after. and i wasnt a virgin ive been with a few guys before him and that never happened. then my vagina would inflame after sex. im 8 months pregnant and i asked my midwife if it was normal. she said it was since theres a lot of pressure down there. but in the begining of my pregnacy i was in treatment for chlamydia and i know that a year ago i had it but i had treatment for it. and then i got it again? my midwife said there was only a little bit so she thinks that the treatment wasnt fully complete. well anyways, me and my boyfriend had sex three days ago and my labia inflamed. we continued to have sex even though it was inflamed, do you think that made it worse? it has been going down now, but now its super itchy! i tried putting baby oil on it but nothing. HELP!
