Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Vaginal itching, burning, altered smell could be indicative of vaginal infection or dryness. Do not ignore your symptoms. Visit your gynecologist (not GP/family doctor) for examination and vaginal smear test to identify the causative agent and start you with appropriate treatment. Get your partner also tested and started on treatment simultaneously to avoid chances of re-infection.
Avoid use of harsh soaps, perfumes, lubricants. Use loose cotton undergarments. Drink plenty of water and keep the area dry and clean.
Take care.
