Hello,
I am 34 years old and I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to have a baby with my husband for over 2 years now. My hair slowly started thinning significantly about 3 1/2 years ago. The stressful event at that time could be contributed to coming off of drugs for pain and anxiety which I had been abusing since I was young (but that was years ago and the hair has not regrown). I am diagnosed with anxiety and bi-polar disorder. I have acne along my jaw line and my fingernails have some pitting. My menstrual cycles used to be extremely irregular and VERY painful but as I am getting older they are a little more regular and a lot less painful. I have a history of cysts and have had 2 ovarian cysts removed. I thought it might be PCOS, but I was told that it is too hard to diagnose. I have been to a fertility doctor and was told that my tubes are open, but multiple attempts to inseminate have failed. Please help! Each doctor shrugs and then pawns me off to the next.

PCOS is not that hard to diagnose. You have to go to an Endocrinlolgist and they will do blood test to check hormones and some other things as well. Dont let them put you off as they will do this. I wish you luck in this search to a diagnosis. I have it and have had doctors tell me its just weight and other crap and could have not had some of the trouble i do now. Make them do something and dont take no for an answer.
