infertility due to missing testicle ? Posted: 10-06-08 22:57pm
When I was thirteen I had an accident and
they removed my right testicle. At that
time the doctor said I would be able to
have children. However, I'm almost 50
years old and I've never had any children.
Am I infertile because of the missing
testicle?

Having only one testicle doesn't
necessarily cause infertility. If the
remaining testicle is healthy, it can
still produce millions of sperm and
sufficient amounts of testosterone to
maintain fertility.
Do you want to have children or are you
just curious?
A sperm count diagnostic test (semen
analysis) can provide information about
fertility potential.
