Q: Infectious diseases that can cause a miscarriage

i recently had a miscarriage and was wondering if there was a diease that can kill the baby. i was told that theres a disease or infection that kills or rejects the baby. i was just wondering what the name for that was.

Several infectious diseases can cause a miscarriage: Chlamydia, Toxoplasmosis, Cytomegalovirus, Rubella infection. For each of them there are adequate laboratory tests that are used if an infection is suspected. Certain of these infections are not characterized by specific symptoms, thus the laboratory tests are necessary for proper diagnostics.
