Q: Infection after breat lump removal

should the incision be getting infected where I had the lump removed 8 years ago? is it from the milk gland? it gets red and hard lump, the skin thins out and opens up. a gapping hole and the puss seeps out.

According to the data you reported, you might be experiencing chronic inflammation of a wound that might have not completely healed.
You need to see a doctor to have the pus removed. Medications that would reduce the inflammation might be applied on the wound. Antibiotics might be needed if bacterial infection is confirmed. If the wound is too big, revision of the wound by surgeon might be needed.
