Abdominal Pain Answer A4418
Current medical status: My bellybutton is infected. I have pain in my stomach and every two months or so it starts, then blood and pus come out of my bellybutton.
Current medical treatment: I go to the doctor and says it's just a cut inside my bellybutton. He gives me a shot and it will go away in about a week, but it keeps coming back.
Blood and pus coming out of the bellybutton suggest that there is an infection but that can’t be a simple infected cut if it keeps coming back. There might be a foreign body present inside the cut or something else that is causing a chronic infection.
You can consult a surgeon about this problem.
