Ok so I went to the doctor's and had a urine-sample pregnancy test and it came out negative (apparently 99% accurate). So the doctor said for me just to wait it out and that its just stress. If my period doesn't come within the next few days, then I should get a blood test just to be safe, and then possibly get meds to induce my period.
I guess my main question is, what could I do to cause my period until then? I've been having some cramps for the past week but no period. I feel like I have it but then nothing happens! So I'm trying to avoid anything stressful. Is there anything I could do?

Whoa wait a second-

are you trying to get pregnant? Is there a reason you need your period to come?
It's normal every once in a while to skip a period or have a late period. As far as I know, you don't need to induce it medically or anything unless you are trying to regulate your cycle to get pregnant.

The only things I can suggest are make sure you are eating well. Not getting enough nutrients is a common reason for skipping a period.
