Q: Indications of genital warts
asked by: DoctorQuestion on September 12th, 2008
I recently noticed about 4-5 flat flaps inside my vagina - they are attached to the walls about an inch inside from the vaginal opening and are flesh colored. They aren't painful and i didn't notice them until I looked down there with a mirror - separating the lips to look inside. They don't look like skin tags or moles, just fleshy flat flaps that have a wide base and stick out towards the center of my vagina about 1/4" - 1/2". What could this be? Is there a name for it? Is this something i should be concerned about? Thank you for your help/advice in advance.

Current medical status: the ulcers are peptic due to stress; genital wart outbreak happened during most recent menstrual period.
Current medical treatment: prilosec, aldara, apple cider vinegar applied topically

Referring to your description (“ 4-5 flat flaps inside my vagina”) you could have genital warts inside the vagina. a vaginal examination, PAP-test and HPV-DNA-test need to be performed for a precise diagnosis.

You should consult a gynecologist about this.
