Q: Incurable Thrombosis in the Chest

Hi,

Im really worried about a friend of mine who is in the hospital with incurable thrombosis in the chest. The doctors say that they cant operate and supposedly it is a very important vein that is blocked. What does this mean? Is it really incurable and does that mean that he won't recover? We are in Mexico and I am wondering how they deal with this in the States or other countries.

Thank you
