i have a large incisional hernia from my last baby. all day today i have felt sick, i think i have a low grade fever, and i've only had one bowel movement in three weeks and it was the earlier part of the three weeks. i take fiber supplements and stool softeners cause things started getting weird a couple months ago. i'm wondering if something is cut off and if i should go to the e.r. or just wait till monday and go see a doc. is it my hernia or am i just being paranoid? i don't want to go there and they say i'm fine cause then i'll feel stupid.

hello any sudden change in bowel movement requires investigation. i would advise yo go to er and get evaluated..when i get constipated i too feel sick but you need to get this checked out.
im not sure if the hernia is related to this but there is obviously a problem..why wait when you can be seen too today.
you don,t mention how old your baby is and not unusual to be constipated as you are sore after the birth..but you mention things got wierd couple of months ago so i would say there is possibly an underlying problem..
let us know how get on.
